• Films must be 7 minutes maximum, or less, including titles and credits. (Longer films may be submitted but only the first 7 minutes will be viewed and judged.)


• Films can be submitted on VHS, MiniDV or DVD.


• Films must be submitted by August 31st, 2009


• Films must have some New England action footage, and some element of surfing, snowboarding or skateboarding. Emphasis on story is strongly recommended.


• Films must not have been in previous competitions or have professional distribution.


• There will be prizes for the top ten finalists, one of which will win the grand prize,(to be announced) exposure on RSN, a national sports network, broadcast into over 100 resort areas.* (* Broadcast winners will be required to sign a release stating that they have musical and video clearance for all pieces in their film, otherwise they will not be able to claim this portion of the prize).


• Films post-marked after August 31, 2009 will not be accepted for judging.


• All entries must be accompanied by a valid phone number, address and email address.


• Entries will not be returned.


• If an entry is unable to be played it will not be considered for judging.


• Proven In The Northeast will take all care, but will accept no responsibility for loss or damage of any entry.


• The judges decisions are final and no correspondance will be entered into consideration.


• The film maker must have fun making their film.
